Jon "Twid"

How I came by the name "Twid" is a rather boring story, but I'm going to tell you anyway. As a computer engineer during the day, the last thing I want to do off hours is get back on the computer. After discovering Internet radio and being invited into a "chat" room, I decided I didn't want to waste a "good" alias name on something I had no intention of pursuing for any lengthy amount of time. So I thought to myself, what is the dumbest moniker I can call myself so I can just log into the music chat room and get this over with? After considering "headless" and "big-toe", somehow "twiddle" flashed through the neurons in my brain and seemed to be more worthwhile of a one time use name than the others. Somehow it stuck, and four years later "Twid" survives for reasons nobody knows (or at least won't admit to).

Hailing from the East Coast USA, Twid lives in New Hampshire not far from where "The Shaggs" formed in the early sixties, and also not far from the Sunapee region where Steven Tyler and Joe Perry use to hang out during the summer months prior to forming Aerosmith (yeah, yeah, I know...you thought they were a Boston based band). You've never heard of "The Shaggs" you say? Frank Zappa was quoted saying they were better than the Beatles.

I enjoy all types of music and play anything from the 50's to 90's during my shows. We have lots of fun in the SmashFM chat-room during live shows and reflect on all the memories that come back from hearing both Top-40 and classic hits of Rock and Roll! Check the DJ Schedule and then join me for the best music and entertainment on the Internet, right here at SmashFM.
